Just to clarify that we are aiming to host the subsets on Terminology Gateway agnostic of what HL7 standard and version is implemented (v3, different releases of FHIR, etc). and to align with the guiding principles of the HL7 Value Set Definition document.

As discussed in HL7 Canada Community call today if you are interested in attending HL7 International Vocabulary group projects: Value Set Expansion (VSE) and VSD-compliant profile on FHIR Value set resource, meeting details and meeting notes can be found below:

Value Set Expansion project: The scope of this project is to define a standard that specifies what content belongs in a value set expansion, how that can be defined, how an expansion may be constrained for a particular use, such as the FHIR Expansion Profile.

VSD (Value Set Definition)-compliant profile on FHIR Value set resource: The scope of this project is to review the characteristics of a Value Set Definition (normative specification) against Normative FHIR resources. Create a profile for implementers to be compliant with both HL7 standards.

We are working towards aligning our Subset definition on Terminology Gateway with the HL7 Value Set Definition (VSD) specification (Attached). This project is currently in its analysis phase.
