eHealth Ontario Open Review on the Provincial Client Registry Specifications
Starting April 25th, health care organizations using various messaging standards to achieve interoperability will have the opportunity to review two PCR specifications – Release 2: • PCR Admission Discharge Transfer (ADT) HL7 v2 Update • PCR Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Patient Identity Cross-Referencing Query and Patient Demographics Query (PIX/PDQ) HL7 v2 These HL7 v2 specifications will enable users to query or contribute to Ontario’s electronic health record (EHR) via the PCR. This means, hospitals will be able to match records from different sources referring to a single health care client. Now, eHealth Ontario is looking to members from the wider healthcare community for input. Comments on Provincial Client Registry Specifications will be accepted from April 25 – May 20, 2016. Two introductory webinars will be held on May 4 and 5th, from 12:00 pm (noon) – 1:00 pm Eastern to review content and explain the process for submitting comments. The webinars are open to all audiences. Go to http://www.ehealthontario.on.ca/en/standards/view/provincial-client-registry-r2 to access the PCR specifications under “Select Download Package” - Release 2 Open Review Files HL7 v2. How to participate: Please RSVP architecture@ehealthontario.on.ca and we will send you the URL and Teleconference details. Regards, Architecture Program Office |
