Thank you so much Tracey for this information. I am meeting with our Business Team Lead on Monday and I will be in touch. I wonder if you would be able to demo your Clinical Documents Tab via Skype?

Hi Marion,

In Manitoba we are beginning to do this. Our E.H.R. is called eChart and information from our website describes it thus:
eChart Manitoba is a secure electronic system that allows authorized health-care providers access to your health information when needed.

eChart pulls together information from many existing systems in Manitoba, including filled drug prescriptions, lab results, immunizations and x-ray reports.
It also includes hospital visits (encounters).

The information contained in it is province-wide. There is an actual Clinical Documents tab within the EHR where the items you mention are contained.

I'm happy to provide further information if you wish to email me directly: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Hello,

In New Brunswick we are looking at implementing Clinical Documents such as Discharge Summaries, Nursing notes etc. into our EHR. We are interested in know if any jurisdictions have already done this and if so would they share the process they followed to successfully implement them. We would like to know which documents you have going to your EHR; how long the implementation process took; what obstacles you ran into during implementation and what they look like in the viewer. Do they appear as links in your CDV Tree or do you see them as tabs.

If I have posted this in the wrong community maybe some one could tell me where best to post it to get the information we need.

Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.
