Hi
NLCHI has received a request from Eastern Health Region for new codes: "Child Youth Care Worker" and "Recreation Development Specialist" as the region is adding these two provider types to to their Meditech MIS Provider Dictionary.

As we have expanded our EHR to Regional Health Authorities, we map their Meditech MIS Providers to "HealthCareProviderRoleType" subset.
Currently, the "HealthCareProviderRoleType" subset doesn’t have codes that suitably match the scope of duties "Child Youth Care Worker" and "Recreation Development Specialist" perform. Therefore, NLCHI is requesting to add "Child Youth Care Worker" and "Recreation Development Specialist" to the "HealthCareProviderRoleType".

The following RFCs have been submitted:
(1) Subset RFCSR-180
https://informs.infoway-inforoute.ca/browse/SR-180?filter=-2

(2) Subset RFCSR-181
https://informs.infoway-inforoute.ca/browse/SR-181?filter=-2

Thank you for your time.
Sisira (NLCHI).
