The HL7 Board of Directors approved the following appointments to the HL7 Terminology Authority (HTA) at its October 2 meeting in Baltimore, MD.
• Heather Grain, HL7 Australia (1-year appointment) • Susan Matney, Intermountain Healthcare (2-year appointment) • Rob McClure, MD Partners, Inc. (1-year appointment) • Sylvia Thun, HL7 Germany (2-year appointment) The HTA is responsible for the creation, implementation, and management of HL7 processes involving external terminology management. These processes are influenced by input from the Vocabulary Work Group and existing HL7 terminology practices. The activities of the HTA are intended to complement maintenance of terminology that is used by HL7 Protocol Specifications. The newest round of appointees took office following the HL7 Working Group Meeting in Baltimore, MD. The next appointments to the HTA will be announced in September, 2019. |
