Posted on behalf of eHealth Ontario.
In just over 2 weeks, the agency will be celebrating “Worlds Standards Day – October 14” and this year is shaping up to be another spectacular event! The eHealth Standards Program is very excited, for the fifth year, to be hosting an event on behalf of the agency to highlight our standards-based solutions and achievements to our stakeholders in the agency and across the province. The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) along with the IEC and ITU, has set this year’s theme as “Standards – the world’s common language” and we’ve invited an excellent panel of presenters to highlight the role ‘common standards’ play in their workplace. Webcast participants will: • Learn how standards ensure a common language and enable interoperable solutions and integration in the EHR for Ontarians • Learn about the ConnectingOntario CDR Input Specification, and how community care and HRM content is supported through the clinical data repository • Learn how the EHR Connectivity Strategy enables systems to achieve semantic interoperability and allows information to flow from one system to another Here’s our agenda: Time Duration Speakers 930H 5 mins Mark Casselman (CEO COACH) Welcome & Introduction of Agenda & Speakers 935H 10 mins Kelly- May Smith (Program Manager, Connecting Ontario, eHealth Ontario) 945H 10 mins Craig Hennessy (eHealth Lead, SW CCAC) 955H 10 mins Elizabeth Keller (Vice-President Product Management & Operations, Ontario MD) 1005H ~15 mins Q&A from external participants 1025H 5 mins Sue Schneider, Dir eHealth Standards eHealth Ontario Closing remarks & thank yous The Ontario Hospital Association has posted the registration information for World Standards Day 2015 on the “event calendar” page – see link: http://www.oha.com/Education/EventCalendar/Pages/EventDetail.aspx?eventid=E541116 This webcast offers continuing education credits to health informatics and health information management professionals.
