November 29th Meeting: Standardizing Transcribed Reports (3S Health, Saskatchewan) 8 years 6 months ago #1860

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, due to some work conflicts for our presenters, we will have to cancel tomorrow's meeting.You likely received a notice from WebEx regarding this - so do update your calendars if necessary. We will aim to re-schedule the Standardizing Transcribed Reports sometime in the New Year.

Nevertheless, we are going to aim for another meeting prior to the holidays on Tuesday December 20th. I will be providing some details with regards to this meeting at some point over the next few days.

Thanks.

November 29th Meeting: Standardizing Transcribed Reports (3S Health, Saskatchewan) 8 years 6 months ago #1856

Hello everyone,

Community members should have received the meeting invite via WebEx directly, but regardless, I just wanted to post the basic meeting details here for our presentation from Kevin Kidney of Solvera Solutions...

3s Health will provide an overview of the Transcription Services which has the objective of creating a single provincial center of excellence for the delivery of medical transcription services and lay the foundation for the transformation of the handling of acute care medical documentation. 3sHealth is working in collaboration with the Regional Health Authorities (RHAs) and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (SCA) to transform transcription services to:
  • Improve processes, tools, and technologies for healthcare professionals to eliminate patient safety risk associated with delays in updating patient charts after care;
  • Standardize processes and workflows in order to streamline the flow of transcription work across the province and optimize report turnaround time;
  • Achieve better patient care by supporting physicians and other health professionals (authors) in capturing clinical information as close to the care event as possible; and
  • Integrate patient information into the electronic health record in order to provide access to accurate and timely documentation.

It is on Tuesday November 29th, at our new time, 1PM ET.
