Regenstrief is very excited to announce the availability of two new files in the December 2015 release of LOINC. First, the LOINC/RSNA Radiology Playbook contains their unified model of radiology procedure names (computed tomography terms, for now, other modalities coming).
The LOINC/RSNA Radiology Playbook is the product of a collaboration between the RSNA and Regenstrief Institute, Inc to develop a unified model for naming radiology procedures. The main file contains linkages between LOINC radiology terms, the attribute values of the Unified Model as both LOINC Parts and RadLex terms, and any applicable mappings to RadLex Playbook terms. This zip file archive contains: 1) the LOINC/RSNA Radiology file in CSV text format with each record on a separate line (terminated by CR/LF) and each field delimited by a comma character. 2) The LOINC License in a text file format. Second, the LOINC/IEEE Medical Device Code Mapping Table contains LOINC terms and content from IEEE EMB/11073 standard for communication between medical, health care and wellness devices and with external computer systems. More information about LOINC can be found on their website. Lorie Carey Infoway |
