I really enjoyed the conversation and appreciated the definition provided by the speakers of an ontology and the history lesson about ontologies as part of the question about overlap between the various terminologies that are out there.

I also appreciated your question about the translation of terminologies, and the shout out for French here in Canada.

Infoway, with some great volunteers from QC and NB provide the French translation for the pCLOCD (LOINC) to Regenstrief for inclusion in the larger LOINC terminology and of course, we do publish this translation as part of the pCLOCD. Infoway also provides the French translation for SNOMED CT as part of our Canadian edition.
