Communities provide an opportunity for people to collaborate and communicate on interoperability topics that are of interest to them and their peers on an ongoing basis. They foster open, inclusive participation and encourage diverse perspectives.

Communities provide a space where you can share news, attend education sessions, connect with experts, host meetings, share lessons learned and find both new and historical documentation that is relevant to your needs.

Types of Communities

Communities may be domain specific such as Lab or Diagnostic Imaging; may focus on a specific interoperability priority such as sharing clinical documents; may focus on standards such as CDA or SNOMED CT; or may be formed by a professional group such as a community of nurses or physicians.
