In case you missed today's community call, we are sharing a couple of highlights on the upcoming January 2020 pCLOCD we are preparing based on LOINC v267, December 2019 release.

This will be your first new and improved pCLOCD release automatically processed in SQL, with the exception of some manual processing for pan-Canadian attributes (such as pan-Canadian Component Name, Example Viewer and translation of updates to LOINC Component). Many thanks to all the jurisdiction implementers that have supported this project and provided preliminary testing and feedback that we worked to incorporate into the new processes.

Here is a quick list of the exciting improvements resulting from the automated SQL processing of pCLOCD:

• Enhanced data quality and integrity, during the migration of data we worked on just over 100 edits to LOINC terms that were discovered during the meticulous data validation and review
• Archiving of all previous versions of pCLOCD that are now easily accesible and stored safely for backup
• Robust Change History log information

We will be sharing more on these improvements at the next community call in February. In the meantime, look out for our news on InfoCentral, where you will find the detailed release notes that accompany the January 2020 pCLOCD release on the 31st (we'll also post here again to let you know, simply because we are that excited!)

RELMA Update from LOINC

For those of you that are using RELMA, LOINC's Mapping Assistant software there is currently a Microsoft (Fall 2019) update that is causing RELMA to fail on startup. This eror affects all version of RELMA, including the latest version 7.0 release. Microsoft has provided a software patch to fix the issue, please see Microsoft's description of the error for more information and directions to apply the fix.
