Hello Everyone,

We are pleased to announce the results of the election that closed on July the 13th at 5:00 p.m.

Please congratulate Ron Parker who will now serve as the new HL7 Canada Affiliate Chair. Ron brings 15+ years of experience as a Canadian delegate to HL7 International. We look forward to Ron’s role within the HL7 Community to inform, shape and prioritize the approaches taken across the country to progress interoperability in healthcare.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Melva Peters who has been the long serving HL7 Chair since 2012. Melva has been very active in the HL7 community over the years through various leadership roles and HL7 work groups. We thank Melva for her crucial role in educating, and shaping the community.

Infoway will host a meeting within the coming days to ensure a smooth transition over from Melva to Ron. A big thanks to the candidates and the community for participating in the election process.
