Please make sure you post in the ‘Sups’ directory of the meeting folder, along with your Supplement, the mandatory “Overview” (Power Point) Presentation for the current phase of your Supplement. Please use the following file naming pattern: sup[xxx]_[xx:FR, pc, or lb]-overview[title].pptx . https://www.dicomstandard.org/resources/templates/
Description of the “Overview” Presentation:
1. A presentation (PowerPoint), prepared before Public Comment, that provides an overview of the use case(s) and technical highlights of the Supplement. This should be an executive summary directed to the product managers, technical implementers, and clinical reviewers of the Supplement, who have not seen the Supplement before, and who may not have knowledge of both the clinical domain and DICOM. The presentation should be circulated (by email/FTP) to WG-06 and WG-29 two weeks prior to the vote to release the Supplement for Public Comment, and may be revised at the WG-06 meeting taking into account feedback from the WG’s. The presentation will be circulated with the Public Comment.
2. A revision/augmentation of the presentation, prepared before Letter Ballot, that further elaborates on the technical approach taken in the Supplement. It should be directed to the technical implementers of the Supplement, who have not seen the Supplement before, and who have knowledge of DICOM but perhaps not the clinical domain. This presentation is intended for use in DICOM conferences or implementer organizations to facilitate technical education. The presentation will be circulated with the Letter Ballot as informative supporting material, but is not formally a subject of the ballot.
